The Special Investigation Service has initiated a criminal case according to the RA Criminal Code, Article 308, part 1 and Article 314, with respect to abuse of official capacity and official forgery committed by the former head of Most Important Objects Protection Unit of the Rescue Forces Department of the RA MES Rescue Service.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the former head, who permanently performed the official duties of a representative of authorities, has used his official position against the interests of the Service, driven by personal incentives. Namely, he complied with his direct subordinate, fireman E.A’s request in order not to ruin his good relationship with latter and allowed E.A. to be absent from work from May 25 to September 28, 2012, as well as from May 23 to July 31, 2013. Afterwards the former head introduced obviously false records confirming E.A.’s presence at work during the mentioned periods into the employee attendance sheet, which constitutes an official document. Then he signed the document and submitted it to the Financial and Economic Department of the Rescue Service of the MES of RA, due to which E.A. received a salary, thus causing substantial damage to the state’s legal interests.
Preliminary investigation continues.
